By car
If you are travelling to Sheffield by car, directions can be found on our website.

By train or coach
Sheffield is well served by trains and coaches. From the train station you can catch a tram to Malin Bridge that stops outside the Cathedral or catch a 40 bus.
To walk from the station to Sheffield Cathedral would normally take about 20 minutes.

The 40 buses are very frequent and run every few minutes. Follow the signs from the station to the Transport Interchange (just across the road) to catch the bus.

By bus

By tram
The tram stops at the Cathedral stop, outside the main entrance. Please see the Supertram website for details of routes, times, and fares.

Parking

There is no on-site parking available.

You could park at Meadowhall Shopping Centre and catch the tram into town. The tram is a 20-minute journey and stops outside the Cathedral. You buy a ticket from the conductor on the tram. Please see the Supertram website for details of routes, times, and fares.

Alternatively, park in the NCP car park (one at either end of Campo Lane.

Visitor Hours

If you want to join us for worship, are looking to arrange a school visit, or are interested in looking around the building, you are very welcome. Admission to Sheffield Cathedral is free for everyone.

Admission

We do not charge for entry to Sheffield Cathedral, but greatly welcome voluntary donations, to assist our mission and to help keep the Cathedral open for visitors.

There is plenty see in and around the Cathedral and a guided tour will help you get the most from your visit.

Guides are often available during the day, but if you are bringing a group or making a special journey you might like to pre-arrange a tour.

Facilities for disabled

    There is wheelchair access through the level entrance on the south side of the building, and into the Cathedral Centre from the Campo Lane entrance. The Cathedral and Cathedral Centre have accessible toilets and baby change facilities. Over the years the Cathedral has been built on 13 different levels. Work is currently being undertaken to make more areas of the Cathedral accessible to all people.
