Follow signs to Glastonbury Abbey from Junction 23 on M5 or from A372 Junction with A303. Or A37/A39 from Bristol or Bath

Parking

Parking for cars and coaches adjacent to the Abbey entrance in the St. Dunstans Car/coach park in Magdalene Street, or other car and coach parks within the town. Fees are payable.

Visitor Hours

Open every day, except Christmas Day. Open 0930hrs until 1800hrs( or dusk, if earlier). Open from 10.00 Dec/Jan/Feb; from 9.30 March/April/May and Sept/Oct/Nov; from 9.00 June/July/August
Last admission half an hour before closing time. Please check autumn and winter closing times.

Full range of educational programmes, activities and worksheets for KS1,2,3,4 covering relevant aspects of History /RE /Literacy /Environmental Studies etc. “Pilgrimage” is our forte ! Those aged 16 and over £5.00…….Worksheets, trails ,talks and living history presentations are included in entry price. Extra activities 50p pp plus costs of materials

Worship

Times

Eucharist every Tuesday at 10.30 in St Patrick’s Chapel.
All other services are by written arrangement with the Director; parishes groups are encouraged to arrange worship here.
Anglican & Roman Catholic pilgrimages take place here in June and July.

Amenities

    Costumed guides here from March to October to tell you tales of the past - performances daily in the Abbots Kitchen. See website www.glastonburyabbey.com for exhibitions and events. Well stocked, quality gift shop. Toilets on site . Packed lunch shelters.
    Outdoor Summer cafe from early May until late September for drinks, sweets, coffee, tea, sandwiches and local ice-creams……groups and cream teas can be catered for by prior arrangement !
    Photography : Visitors are allowed to take photographs, provided they are purely for personal use, without charge; photographs taken for any other useage at all, must have written permission obtained beforehand and fees will be charged.

Facilities for disabled

    Disabled access to 95% of site. Two wheelchairs available. Deaf loops in ticket office and gift shop. Audio guides specifically for the visually impaired available. Accessible Toilet. ‘Bridge’ across the Lady Chapel now allows viewing to the crypt. Large print leaflet available.
