Travel information |
In the City Centre. By road follow signs from the A1 or approach via A15, A47, or A605. By rail travel to Peterborough Station (London, Cambridge and Leicester 55 mins; York 1hr 15 mins.) and walk through the city centre (10 mins). |

Parking |
No public parking in the Precincts, but plentiful parking nearby. For disabled access ther is some parking and a temporary parking permit for disabled badge holders can be obtained via the Chapter Office. There are Coach drop-off points close to the Cathedral (Coaches not allowed in Precincts) and Coach Park on Bright Street. |

Mon – Fri - 9.00 am to 6.30 pm (access limited after 5.30 – Evensong) Sat 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (limited access 3.30 – Evensong) Sun – Services from 8.00 am; visitors 12 noon to 5.00 pm (limited access 3.30 – Evensong) Open for visitors all year except December 25th and 26th. |

Admission |
The Cathedral had no fixed charge for admission. Welcome staff invite all visitors to make a donation towards the upkeep of the fabric of the building (suggested donation £3.50 adults; £2.50 concessions. Group leaders who have not booked tours are asked to make a donation on behalf of their whole group) |

Guided ToursGuided Tours - April to Sept - daily tour at 2.00 pm (11.30 am Weds); Oct – April regular tours (call for details) £3.50/£2.50 (adults/concessions). GroupsAll groups visiting the Cathedral should book in advance. In some circumstances groups may be refused admission. School VisitsTours can be organised to cover a wide range of subjects including -
- RE - KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE
- Science - KS1 and KS2
- History - KS1, KS2, KS3
- Art and Design - KS1 to ‘A’ Level
- GNVQ Leisure and Tourism
Schools are welcome to come for anything from a short visit to a whole day including tour, activities and use of the Education Centre as a base and for lunch |

- Beckets Restaurant offering a range of freshly prepared meals and snacks including daily specials. Group bookings possible Tel 01733 342310 - The Cathedral Shop offering a good variety of gifts, souvenirs and books Tel 01733 555098 - The Education Centre - available for schools with NC focussed activities and a selection of guided trails, or for adult groups requiring specialist talks. Tel 01933 355300 - Business Café - offering a number of meeting rooms and catering options for business seminars, planning meetings, small receptions, etc. Tel 01733 347239 Toilets are available in the Cathedral and at Beckets Restaurant, the Education Centre and the Business Café. Picnics are allowed in the Cloister (accessible only through the Cathedral) and in the Cathedral grounds generally. |

Facilities for disabled |
wheelchair lift gives access to the shop and to the Tourist Information Centre, which is also in the Precincts. A touch/hearing centre and specially formatted written material are available for the blind and partially sighted and a sensory tour can be organised by prior arrangement. Sight and Hearing Guide Dogs are welcome in the Cathedral |
