Southwark Cathedral is conveniently located for the City, Canary Wharf, the West End, and South Bank. Situated just three minutes walk from London Bridge station, the Cathedral is easy to reach from a number of main line and LT underground stations and bus routes. If arriving by river then London Bridge /City Pier is the nearest arrival point - approx 5 minutes away. Main line stations: London Bridge, Waterloo (Waterloo East to London Bridge) Underground: London Bridge station - Jubilee and Northern (City Branch) lines Monument station - District and Circle lines and DLR (Docklands Light Railway). Nearest car parks: NCP at Snowfields (15 mins walk). Ewer Street Car Park (15 mins walk). Union Car Park at Southwark Street (10 mins walk). Southwark Bridge Village Car Park, Thrale Street (10 mins walk). City Car Parks at Wardens Grove (10 mins walk) There are a limited number of parking meters along Southwark Street. The nearest designated Disabled Parking space is in Park Street. The nearest coach-drop off point is in Southwark Street - less than 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Bicycle parking is available just outside the Cathedral (opposite Borough Market) and two addtional areas are on the North side of the Cathedral on Montague Close. |

The Cathedral is open from 0800 Weekdays, and 0830 Saturdays and Sundays. It closes at 1800. Main visiting times are from 1000 to 1700. The Cathedral Shop is open Mon -Sat 1000 - 1800; Sun 1200 - 1800 (Closed Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day) The Cathedral Refectory / Restaurant is open daily from 1000 to 1800 (Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day) |

Individuals: Admission is by voluntary donation; suggested £4.00 per person. Permits are required for photography: £2.00 per camera; £5.00 per video. [Flash is acceptable] This is for personal use only. These can be purchased from Welcomers on the Cathedral floor and / or from the Cathedral Shop. Photography is not permitted during services or ticketed events. Special Rates apply for Commercial Use - please enquire. Groups: Mandatory charges apply; please contact Cathedral Visitors’ Officer for details. Group organisers are strongly encouraged to pre-book their visit. |

The Cathedral Refectory / Restaurant is open daily from Mon-Sat 0830 - 1800; Sun 1000 to 1800 (Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day) Conference Centre - 6 rooms available for hire There are toilets on site including two RADAR key operated accessible toilets, one with baby changing facilities The Churchyard Gardens have been laid out with Shakespearian and Biblical planting and are an ideal picnic venue in the summer months. |
