Travel information

Approx one hour by train from London Waterloo.
M3 southbound J9 or J11 for park and ride
M3 northbound J9, J10 for Park and Rise or J11
Main bus station in the centre about a ten minute walk from the Cathedral.

Parking

Limited Blue Badge parking in the Inner Close. Access via St Swithun’s Street (very narrow)
Car parks all around the city, none of which are far from the Cathedral to walk.
Coach drop off at King Alfred’s statue in The Broadway, a ten minute walk from the Cathedral

Visitor Hours

0830 - 1800 Monday Saturday. Groups 1000 - 1700
Sunday 1230 - 1500. No guided tours on Sunday
The Cathedral is a working church and can be closed to visitors at times.
Please check the opening times before you plan to visit.

Annual Pass - £10.00
Adults - £6.50
Concessions - £5.00
Full time students and language school - £3.75
Tower tours - £6.00

Arranged visits

Guided Tours

Public guided tours each hour from 1000 - 1500. No additional charge. Tower tours - please check with Entrance Desk Adult Groups please contact Michael Honeysett 01962 857225.

Groups

Groups must book at least 24 hours in advance if they are self guiding and two weeks in advance if they wish to book Cathedral guides. There are concessions for all pre-booked groups.

Times

Mattins - Monday to Saturday 0740
Holy Communion - every day at 0800. Thursdays and Saints Days at 1200
Evensong - Monday to Saturday 1730
Sunday Services - said Holy Communion 0800. Mattins - 0945. Sung Eucharist - 1100. Evensong - 1530

Visitors are welcome to attend any of the services.
