The cathedral lies at the bottom of the valley with limited access for vehicles but there is a car park within five minutes walk with access along a flat pathway.

Visitor Hours

Monday to Saturday 9.00am - 5.30pm
Sunday 1.30pm - 5.00pm


None, but we invite a donation of 3.00 per person.

Arranged visits

Guided Tours

During the months of July and August there are regular tours on Monday,Tuesday,Thursday and Friday starting at 2:30pm. All tours last approximately sixty minutes.

Costs are Adults (17 and over):4.00 Students : 2.50 Children(6-16):1.20

Tickets should be purchased in the Cathedral Bookshop in the Nave before joining the tour.


Guided tours of the cathedral are available for groups booking ahead. We would appreciate as much notice as possible but at least three weeks. The group size can be almost anything but for numbers in excess of about fifty, depending on ages, we may split into two or more groups so that all are able to see and hear what the guide is talking about.
