Guided Tours

Visits by community groups or parishes are most welcome. In addition to showing all the lovely aspects of the Cathedral we try to meet any specific interests of a particular group.

It is, however, important to book in advance. Tours can be arranged through Visitor Officer. There is a charge of £2.00 per adult.

School Visits

The education programme includes a variety of trails and activities, which are cross-curricular, but are designed to meet the needs of the National Curriculum, especially the R.E. syllabus.

Advance booking is essential (preferably three weeks in advance), since the Cathedral is a very busy place. Even if a guide is not required it is still advisable to make a booking as soon as possible.

A visit to the Cathedral costs £1.00 per child, £1.50 per child for workshops. Teachers and helpers are not charged.

There is a well stocked shop in the Cathedral selling guide books, cards, books and small gifts.

Access by wheelchair. There is a wheelchair available to borrow. Loop for hard of hearing. Facilities for visually impaired include large print service sheets and hymn books.
