Parking

Short-term parking is available on Angel Street and St Martin’s Le Grand to the north of the cathedral. This is operational between 0900-1900 Monday to Friday and 0800-1100 Saturday, with a maximum stay of 90 minutes.Long-term parking is available in Queen Victoria Street. This is operational between 0800-1900 Monday to Friday and 0800-1100 Saturday, with a maximum stay of 4 hours.

Visitor Hours

The cathedral is open for sightseeing Monday - Saturday between 8.30am and 4pm. Last entry to the galleries is 4.15pm.
Special events may close all or part of the cathedral, sometimes at short notice.

Guided Tours

A multimedia is included with admission and is available in 12 languages including BSL. Family multimedia guides are also available.

Guided tours of the cathedral and crypt are also available free of charge. Tours begin at 10.45am, 11.15am, 1.30pm and 2pm and last for approximately 90 minutes. Limited numbers only.

School Visits

The Schools & Families Department offers a range of themed guided tours and workshops, along with self-guided trails for UK schools, designed to meet the needs of the National Curriculum and GCSE/A level exam specifications. There is a purpose built, secure, spacious classroom plus cloakroom and lavatories in the Cathedral’s Crypt.

The department also hosts events/INSET for teachers and teacher training courses.
